Addie joined our Foothill Pet Hospital (FPH) staff in May 2011.  Addie is a Santa Barbara native who returned to our beautiful area after graduating from Robert Morris University (RMU) in Pennsylvania.  She had a full ride scholarship to RMU via her volleyball skills, and played all four years on their NCAA Division 1 team.  Addie graduated with a B.S. in Biology and thoroughly enjoyed her college experience.

Addie is very inquisitive, and is interested in furthering her studies by learning all aspects of veterinary medicine, and going on to veterinary school.  Growing up with horses, Addie is very intrigued by equine (horse) medicine.  However, she is keeping an open mind, and wants to experience exotic, marine, and small animal medicine too.

As with all our staff, Addie performs many tasks and functions at FPH.  This includes assisting Dr. Rittenberg (Dr. Ritt) and the other technicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments, assisting with anesthesia and surgery, running in-hospital lab tests, taking x-rays, assisting clients, filling prescriptions, and maintaining hospital cleanliness.  And, as with all other staff, the most important part of her job is providing for patient comfort, well-being, and care.

Addie has many extracurricular interests too.  She has traveled extensively.  She lived for three months in Australia working with a horse dietician and three-day Olympic rider.  She has been all over Central America.  And, through her volleyball experiences, Addie has been to 39 of our 50 states.

More locally and beyond, Addie loves playing volleyball (indoor and beach), hiking, surfing, scuba diving, photography, jogging with her black Labrador Risha on the beach, cooking and hanging out with friends.
